The university currently has approximately 40,000 students, including 20,651 in bachelor’s degree programs, 16,712 in master’s degree programs, and 4,737 in doctoral degree programs, with 1,208 international students in degree programs. Over the years, Xiamen University has created partnerships with more than 250 higher learning institutions in the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, France, and other universities in the world’s top 200 universities.
To be eligible for the XMU scholarship, applicants must have a specific age range. Those applying for the bachelor’s program should hold a high school diploma and be under the age of 25. Those applying for the Master’s program must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 40 while those applying for the doctoral programs must hold a master’s degree and be under the age of 45. The bachelor’s programs last for 4 to 5 years, the master’s programs last for 2 to 3 years and the doctoral programs last for four years.
How to Apply for Xiamen University Scholarship
Candidates can apply for the scholarship after being admitted to Xiamen university. Applicants can complete an application online via this link and upload the scanned copy of the application form for the scholarship. The scholarship application form should be completed in Chinese or English and signed by the applicant.
The applicants are also expected to submit a complete set of application materials and will be held responsible for the authenticity of their documents. After a comprehensive review based on the academic record, language proficiency, research achievement, and supervisor’s comments, short-listed candidates will be submitted to the university authorities for final approval. Siemens Chinese Scholarships for International Students
The Siemens China scholarship program at Tsinghua University is provided by Siemens Limited to support international students who are pursuing Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering, computer science, arts and design, software, automation, and electrical engineering.
Recipients of the scholarship will cooperate with Siemens in different fields such as artificial intelligence, cyber security automation, internet-of-things, robotics, and many other fields in the Ph.D. stage. The scholarship lays the foundation for the growth of innovative talent in the industry.
Recipients of the scholarship receive 40,000 RMB annually with an additional living allowance of 160,000 RMB per year. The scholarship lasts for four years. Candidates who are interested in this scholarship will have to apply through the department or school, appreciate the value of working together with Siemens to carry out research work, and will not be under any other scholarship at Tsinghua University.
